We all spread out and wandered back and forth along the trails, looking at the budding plants and the skunk cabbage popping up everywhere! Now is the perfect time to start gardening with your child, whether in your own yard or a community garden. We like connecting the new spring growth we see in the forest with the seeds we plant in our garden. Here are some helpful ideas for gardening with kids! https://forestschoolforall.com/blog/2016/04/11/tips-for-garening-with-kids/

LOCATION: Kitchawan Preserve - where Pinesbridge Rd intersects Rt 134, in Ossining. Note: Parking is limited. Please be considerate and park as closely together as possible to make room for other cars. Walk into the park about 200 feet down the trail to meet (entrance has a gate across it). We like to play in the creek, so be prepared to get very wet and muddy!
