We had a wonderful time on Wednesday. It was a bit chillier than expected, but warmed up as soon as we were done in the forest. Water play and building was in full swing and we noticed that the poison ivy was growing strong near our water location.
The poison ivy is very easy to spot right now (as it has a deep red color to its leaves this time of year). We may have to move back to our water location from last summer, but today will built a barrier with the sticks and branches lying around our location.
Playing with sticks and playing in the water was the main activity today and we followed the stream down to the area that the children refer to as the island (basically a location where the water splits and then meets again in a 3' square area).
Looking forward to what next week will bring.
See you in the forest
