Another beautiful day at Kitchawan. The kids led us straight to the creek. While hiking, we listened to the orioles sing, which sounded like water flowing downhill. The kids played in the water and walked up and down the stream, throwing rocks and mastering the use of big sticks. We spotted jewel weeds with beautiful orange flowers along the creek. They loved water also!

WEATHER: upper-70s, with a slight chance of rain.

LOCATION: Kitchawan Preserve - where Pinesbridge Rd intersects Rt 134, in Ossining. Note: Parking is limited. Please be considerate and park as closely together as possible to make room for other cars. Walk into the park about 200 feet down the trail to meet (entrance has a gate across it). We like to play in the creek, so be prepared to get very wet and muddy!
