Join families exploring the forest on the weekend in Essex County, NJ!
All ages, all weather, all abilities welcome!
Expect a pace and rhythm of the children that attend, through unstructured, free play. Watch as the benefits, the magic, and fun of playing in the forest unfolds!
WHEN: Saturday, January 27 10:30 AM departure into the woods. We will gather at picnic tables but the stream.

We usually meet every third Saturday (1 week in the woods, 2 weeks elsewhere and then back in the woods)

LOCATION: South Mountain Reservation, Tulip Drive 64 Cherry Lane, West Orange, NJ 07052 (as you enter Tulip Drive be sure to turn right to find the parking lot by the picnic tables and creek).
WEATHER : We meet in all weather unless its storming and thundering!
WHAT TO BRING AND WEAR: Be prepared for water play, including shoes that you are willing to get wet and dirty. It is highly suggested to bring a change of clothes for the ride home! More tips:

On a typical Saturday at Tulip Springs, the children might hang out by the brook by the picnic tables playing in the water as the group
assembles. Then, we venture into the forest for a hike (approx 1.5 miles maybe), bring a snack or lunch.
